Romantic room with friendly service
We only stayed one night at the Standard Inn in Rye, but it was very successful. In this really old building (the ceiling on the beams is less than 2 meters), a beautiful ambience has been integrated with love. There's definitely no room for a shower, but there is a claw-foot bathtub in the room; the toilet is very small (tall people like me can hardly close the door), but everything works perfectly.
Beautiful room and nice breakfast
We stayed in a beautiful authentic room. Everything was neatly arranged. The bathroom and the room are one. The toilet is separate. The room was just above the Inn pub, but not significantly affected by noise at night. We got a nice fresh breakfast and were able to check out quietly. A small minus for the large surplus we had to pay for the dog (small dog of 3 kg) 25 Pounds. We thought that was a bit exaggerated. Otherwise, a perfect stay.
Excellent staff, good food, excellent value for money
We went to dinner and knew immediately that we would like the place. The young staff welcomed us warmly and it is therefore clear that they are very competent. They have the impression that every request is met within reasonable limits. The place was crowded and that's not surprising. The food was excellent, well prepared and full of taste. The prices are very fair. The next time we go to Rye we will definitely go back to standard.
Nice place!
I really enjoyed spending a few hours in the pub, playing board games, trying local beers and then delicious food! One of the best meals from Rye! You deserve the recognition you receive! Super friendly and helpful staff. There are many people, so be there before meals are served at the table! Would go back anytime
Great pub and bistro restaurant
Wonderful pub and restaurant. Good selection of beers and wines. The menu ranges from local lamb, fish and potato chips to duck confit. Something for everyone. My advice is to go there sooner or later to get a table at this popular place. This time in Rye I had dinner there three times.
