Pleasant stay of 2 nights
We stayed here for 2 nights (2 adults and 2 children). Check-in was easy, we decided to pay on arrival, which was easy. We were shown to our room, which was above the pub. The room was very spacious. Double bed and a bunk bed that the children enjoyed. Nice big bathroom. And many towels provided. You chose your breakfast the day before and it is freshly made to order. Tea, coffee, orange juice and cereal are on the table. The hot breakfast was delicious and large portions. The children were very full. There is a side door and you have a key, so you don't have to go through the pub and come and go whenever you want. We didn't eat there in the evening, but the menu looked good and reasonably priced.
Good stay
I have stayed here several times over the years. The new owners have improved the place considerably. I have no complaints about the room. Friendly and helpful. Nothing was too complicated. Breakfast was amazing. Freshly prepared and with everything you want.

My sister-in-law and I were here for a weekend. Fantastic room and breakfast. Nothing was too complicated. Highly recommend we will definitely be back. Good location for local services and the city center.
Good pub and cheap food
We had friends and were looking for a local pub meal after a long day without having to walk into town. The pub has a nice grassy garden where we sat until the owner called us for dinner. I just wanted about 15 minutes for all 4 meals to be ready. The menu was great, simple, daily food, nothing special and something different for all of us at very reasonable prices. The rooms were very hot and I couldn't finish my counters due to the size.
Excellent location at an affordable price
The Groud Floor is a bar / restaurant that serves a good full English breakfast in the morning. We had a family room with two bunk beds and a double bed and a shared bathroom. When we were there, there weren't many guests, so the shared bathrooms were mainly ours, and they were clean. Free parking in front of the hotel. We had a good rest before rushing to the airport early in the morning.
